San Antonio Trip--October 2021

Peter and I visited Jeremiah back in mid-October. We were there for 5 days and saw pretty much everything the city has to offer. I'd still like to go see the zoo and a couple of the museums, but those will wait for future trips.

Flying in

Our cute little bungalow rental

On our first day, Jeremiah had to work, so Peter and I did a "beer crawl" through the city and had some tasty local BBQ. Jeremiah came by for dinner and games afterward.

The second day, Jeremiah was with us to explore the Riverwalk and downtown San Antonio, including the outside of the Alamo. We had some authentic Tex Mex and tried to stay cool (yes, it was still hot and slightly humid in mid-October). The Riverwalk was definitely a highlight of SA for me.

The third day, it was rainy and humid. We mostly stayed at our rental and relaxed, played games, even binged some Netflix.

The 4th day, it was so much cooler outside! We did more walking and returned to the Riverwalk to scatter some of Ezra's ashes as well as take more photos in front of the Alamo. The true highlight of that day was lunch at the top of the Tower of the Americas. And, that night, went to the San Fernando Cathedral to see an amazing lighting display.

We will be visiting him again in March and going to Austin! Looking forward to sharing more of these trips (even if I still pray every day he'll change his mind and move home).
