Alayna's Cali Time

Alayna had fun visiting with her grandparents in CA a few weeks ago. Grandma was just here for a few days (left today, with Jeremiah) and we snagged some pics from her. So, really, this is a blog of photos. We are so blessed that the kids get to spend time alone with their grandparents every year (which also gives us alone time with each child). And they always have a blast!

J Time

Here is a summary of what we did with J while Alayna was in CA with the grandparents for a week. There was a LOT of father-son time since I have been busy with school and am having a flare-up of Crohns, which usually keeps me homebound. We did a lot of the "normal" stuff: library, Wii time, movie time, game time (Uno with Mom, RISK with Dad), swimming at the Y. There was also a couple of special things: a morning at Bounce U (he earned a free pass from the library), tennis with Dad. He stayed up late a lot and "camped" in our playroom. He even helped Dad with yard work a couple mornings. It was just nice not to have to referee between the two kids, who constantly bicker. And I think it was nice for Peter to have some one-on-one time with his son. They both benefit from that!

Peter forgot the camera for Bounce U and tennis, so these are the only photos we have from the week.

He falls asleep reading a lot; this week was no exception.
