Summer Break 2015: Week 2

Week 1 was Portland, so, here's week 2!

We managed to cross off one thing from our Bucket List. Homemade popsicles!

We actually made orange creamsicles, and they were AMAZING! Recipe:

1 cup OJ
1 cup half-and-half/cream/coconut or almond milk
2 TBS sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
Combine ingredients
Pour into popsicle molds
Freeze for approx 4 hours
(makes approx. 8 pops)

YUM! (They look like vanilla pudding pops, but have a distinct orange taste, so don't be fooled!)

So, it was a fun week. We had Harlee with us for a couple days, which made things more interesting. Alayna and I attended Zabrina's baby shower and the kids and I attended and adoption party of some friends. Overall, it was a relatively mellow, but still fun week! Here are some highlights, in photos.

Portland Shenanigans 2015

Our annual family trip to Portland was last week and it was FANTASTIC! We love visiting and seeing our friends. My sister will be moving from Oregon next month, so she won't be there anymore, but I that, in no way, interferes with what we are certain will be an annual tradition (although, next year, we may have to forgo it if we can pull off a family trip to Hawaii, which I hope to do after I graduate and in celebration of our 15-year wedding anniversary).

Anyway....

Highlights of the trip include seeing my sister and our friends (duuuuh), celebrating new nurses, worshipping with Imago Dei, Home Community reunion and a fabulous hike in the Columbia Gorge. I will now let ALL these photos speak for themselves!
