Two posts in one week! WOW. But, I forgot to blog earlier this summer when Alayna achieved swimming on her own. Yay for our girl and yay for no more life jackets or arm floaties! Here are a couple videos:

A Trip to the Dentist

So, being the bad mom that I am, the kids had their first dental appointment in over 18 months today. I don't have any excuses. Yes, there was a change of insurance/dentist. Yes, we got busy with the house and moving. Yes, I had several flare ups during that time. But, truth be known, we just didn't make it a priority (sorry Mom). But, we made it over there today and they had their teeth x-rayed and cleaned. Happy to report that neither of them had any cavities. YAY! They did a great job, much to my total surprise. They acted like old pros. Upon leaving, J asked when we would go again. When we told him 6 months, he said,"Aww, man. I wish we could go every month." Way to go kiddos!

The Girl Loves to Sing!

Our sweet daughter definitely has a ear for music. She loves to sing. And she loves to fiddle with the keyboard given to us by Uncle Eric. We've decided that we need to nurture this interest and signed her up for weekly piano lessons. If all goes well and she really shows an aptitude for music, we will bump her up to twice a week. We are excited for this new extracurricular activity! Meanwhile, check out this cute video of her singing along to one of her favorite songs!
