He didn't want to make a huge deal about it, so we celebrated with some friends and family at an intimate dinner party at our home. A pasta bar, salad, beer and wine. We spruced up the back yard and even got a portable, wood-burning fire pit. It made for a fun night.

The Big 4-0, Peter Style
Someone turned 40 last month!

January/February 2018
The new year started out on a sour note. I got the flu the end of Dec and lasted into the first week of January. Alayna had a 2-week cold. Then, Jeremiah got the cold and/or bronchitis and then, toward the end of January, Peter got the flu. We managed to go to Vegas at the beginning of the month, as mine and Alayna's ailments were on the mend and before Peter and Jeremiah started their ordeals. It was fun. Other than that, not much to report on January and there are very few pics. Oh, I did go to Disneyland (surprise, surprise) and the highlight of that was getting serenaded by the Dapper Dans, who I LOOOOVE.
February was good, except I worked a LOT and was super busy with school. Still managed a few wine tasting days, Peter's 40th birthday celebration (it gets its own post) and yet another Disney day (don't judge me!).
March is looking to be much like February because I am still swamped with work and school. April should have some promising stuff because we are going to Hawaii!
The year is flying by and I just can't keep up. Enjoy these photos from the first two months.
