17!

Happiest of Happy Birthdays to our 17-year-old son! It's hard to believe that in just one year, he will be an "adult", ready to vote or join the military, and will be off to college shortly thereafter (well, since he's decided college will be in SLO, there's no "off to", but it's the sentiment that counts). This kid has really changed an matured over the last year and we are so proud of the man he is becoming. Excited to see what unfolds.

Fourteen

Back in December, Alayna turned 14. She wanted something simple. Ice cream cake and a trip to the Melodrama. That's what she got. My parents were here to celebrate as well as take her out for dinner. We're so proud of the young woman she is growing up to be. She's so kind, thoughtful, intelligent, creative and sensitive. She's still very much a teenager, though, prone to avoiding adults, spending most of her time in her room on the phone and moodiness.

September and October Highlights 2018

A new job for me, Disneyland (yes again), visits with friends, another Gomez concert and a short SF getaway for Peter and I. Plus, we started our kitchen renovation. We also went to Asheville for several days at the end of October, but that gets a post of its own. Exciting stuff!
