June and July had some excitement, the two biggest things being that Jeremiah relocated to San Antonio, Texas and Peter and I celebrated 20 years of marriage! June meant a quick trip to Santa Cruz to try for another reunion with Peter's parents and brother, but his parents cancelled at the last minute. Because this was an opportunity to see Jeremiah before his move, it made me sad, but grateful Jeremiah was able to plan a trip to meet them in Gilroy a week later (Peter and I had to work). Alayna and I also went to Vegas to spend some time with my sister, after not seeing her for over a year. It was our first plane ride.
July meant Jeremiah moved. That was so hard. I was unable to get the time off, because he hadn't picked a date until it was too late and my request didn't get approved. So, Peter and his mom accompanied Jeremiah on the drive to Texas and helping him move into his first place. I am hoping to visit in October, but we will be watching the Covid numbers carefully before going. We met up with my family in July for some game time and a meal at my older sister's house. It was so good for all of us to be together again (minus Jeremiah....) after so long without. We also got to visit with my Grandma and Gramps. The last thing that happened in July was Peter and I went to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to visit friends and celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. It wasn't the Italy trip we hoped for, but it was a lot of fun! It will get a separate entry of its own.
And, now, summer is over and Alayna is back to in-person school and I've started a new job. But, more about that in another post!
