April and May were fun months! We finally had that spring break we'd hoped for, but, that will be highlighted in a post of its own. We started the month with the wedding of my good friend, April and her lobster, Dustin. What a blast. That wasn't the ONLY wedding in April. My cousin Lena married her longtime love, Sarah. I love these two so much and was honored to share in their special day down in Chula Vista, as well as visiting with my aunt and other cousin. I loved that both weddings were small (<25 people) and the majority of people in attendance were vaccinated. Peter and I also got a chance to go away to Carmel with a couple of friends. What a beautiful trip that was, and I have over 100 photos to prove it (chose the top 30 for this post).
After being out of town for most of April (I only worked 8 shifts that month, and Peter didn't return to work from his surgery until after our family vacation), May was more business, but we still sneaked in a little fun, including a return to Disneyland for me! We also got an overdue visit from my parents and had some fun around town. Another major thing happened in May: Alayna got vaccinated! This gives all of us a little relief, since we knew (even then, because, you know, I'm a nurse) that Delta was on its way and because she ALSO got her first job!

D&A's Wedding Day!
Another sunrise before work.
I'm still not sold on this day shift thing after 5 months (at this point) of being on days.
Lone Madrone winery. For whatever reason, this is the only photo I have from this day where Christen, April and I went wine tasting at 3 different places.

San Diego culminated with homemade chilaquiles by my aunt. SO delicious!
I will preface this Carmel part of the post by stating I had over 100 photos and really struggled about which ones to post. Point Lobos is a beautiful place and should be on your list if you've never been. These photos really don't do it justice. This was such a fun trip with our good friends.
Do yourself a favor if you find yourself in Carmel-By-the-Sea, and go to the Cheese Shop!
Our last stop was Nepenthe on the drive home down Highway 1.
The view did not disappoint. CA poppies!
