Coeur d'Alene -- 20th Anniversary Trip

In July, Peter and I celebrated 20 years of marriage. Originally, the plan was to go to Italy this year (in the Fall), but Covid put a damper on that. So, we settled on a trip closer to home. Our friends moved to Idaho late last year and we thought it was a great opportunity to visit them and a place neither of us had been. I'm glad we did! We had a great time. It was a bit warm, and a fire was burning nearby, so the air quality wasn't great, but we had our masks and made the best of it. We kayaked and hiked and even tandem biked for 12 miles along the lake. We got to visit with friends and enjoy local entertainment. It was an all around great trip and I look forward to returning, maybe next fall when all the colors are pretty!

First stop was our friends' taproom. We spent a lot of time there that week!

On our first full day, we went to our friend's float house on the lake and had a blast well into the night.

Second full day: 12-mile bike ride and some good eats

Our third full day (our anniversary), we kayaked in CDA lake and had a fantastic time

Our friends went with us, and this is the only shot we got with them (that kayak in the background) 😆

Wildlife shot

On our actual anniversary night, we stayed at a lovely Bed and Breakfast

A tasty dinner for our anniversary!

A sweet treat from the hosts of the B&B

Our last full day in CDA meant a hike on Tubbs Hill and another yummy meal adventure.

More wildlife

On our way to the airport, we stopped for some tasty cider in Spokane.
