We've had a year to get used to having an adult child. It still doesn't feel real to us. Even if Jeremiah has a full time job, goes to school part time (online through the local community college at this time), has a serious girlfriend, and really has matured a lot in the past year. We've had our ups, downs, bumps and collisions with this kid, but, I'm proud to say, he made it out okay and is doing just fine in the adult world.
His celebration was a small one at home. I made his favorite dinner (homemade macaroni and cheese with sliced hotdogs), got him his favorite ice cream cake and presented him with his gift of a new longboard skateboard.
Happy 19th Birthday, Jeremiah Lennon! Can't wait to see where this next year take you! ♥♥♥
I made him blow out a candle by itself because, if Covid has taught us anything, I hope it's that eating cake that other people blow on is gross.
The skateboard was made by a company in our beloved Southeast Portland area.
