SF Weekend Getaway

Gosh, I feel like we are traveling a lot this year.  Grateful for the time and means, and for supportive people who will watch our kids so we can go away for two days.  We haven't had a "just us" getaway since January 2011, so this was a wonderful treat for us (well, we did get an overnight last year, but it was less than 24 hours).  We got a great deal on flights a couple months back to go to the Bay area.  We chose this destination because one of our favorite bands (Five Iron Frenzy) was reuniting for a tour this summer.  We saw that they would be in SF this weekend and bought tickets.  We were planning to take the kids originally, but didn't have the funds.  Good thing they added a Portland show to their tour schedule!  We'll take the kids to see them in August.  This weekend was now for US!   We stayed with my college roommate (and good friend) Corie and her husband Robbie (and their two dogs).  They are always gracious hosts.  It was a fun weekend, and I look forward to more getaways with my husband in the future (here's hoping!).
