Father's Day

Well, Peter's Father's Day gift was a weekend to go to a skateboarding event in Washington, which happened to be this past weekend (he'll blog more about that later).  He left early Saturday morning and got back on Sunday around dinner time.  The kids had made him cards and I made him a chicken enchilada dinner.  We ate leftover birthday cake for dessert and then went for a walk/hike to watch the sunset from Rocky Point Butte.

I try to proclaim as often as I can how much our family appreciates Peter.  He is a strong leader, a hard-working provider, a constant support, and is always full of encouragement.  With each child we've had, I've grown to love him more because of the example he sets as a dad and husband.  And when we lost our Ezra, I was able to see the infinite amount of love he has for his children and the pain it caused to lose one, and loved him even more.  And, as we walked through the restoration of our family and of our hearts after that loss, I got to see just how strong and brave he is.  We adore this man and are so grateful he is ours.  Thank you Peter and Happy Father's Day!!!

He's not just the best dad, but also the BEST husband EVER!
