Discovering Portland: VooDoo Doughnuts

Oh my YUM!  This donut shop is quite popular with locals and tourists alike.  It is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.  There is usually an extensive line from about 8am until midnight.  We only had to wait about 15 minutes, getting there at 9:30am on a weekday morning.  Weekends are INSANE.  The donuts are tasty, but the appeal is the odd combinations of toppings put on the donuts.  Their famous donut is the Maple-bacon bar.  It's a little too much for me, but everyone has to try it once.  Some other combinations are Rice Krispies and peanut butter syrup, fruit loops and chocolate, and oreo cookie and chocolate syrup.  Yes, it is sugar overload, so not something our family will be doing often, but it was my birthday and I wanted Voo Doo.  :)
