Discovering Portland: Berry Picking

Yay for summer!  (Haven't been able to say that for over 6 years.)  In Portland, summer means berries.  Lots of varieties of berries, fresh off the bush or vine.  Yesterday, one of our new friends invited us to go to Sauvie Island and go berry picking.  We went to Kruger's farm.  Because of the late spring rains, the berries haven't come to full force but we still managed to get four pounds of strawberries!  Can't wait until July for blueberries and raspberries!
