Thanksgiving 2013

For the first time since 2004, our family was able to share a Thanksgiving meal with our CA family.  This year, we opted to head south to LA for dinner with my family at my Grandma's house.  Jill even flew down from Portland, so we were all accounted for.  My Aunt and Uncle and cousins, as well as my sister's father-in-law joined us for the meal with my Grandma and Gramps.  And it was delicious.

The cousins were reunited for lots of playing and silliness.

We visited our family home (I lived there till age 18, and my Dad had grown up in it).

And, then, of course, there was Tamale Day!  Four generations of women gathered to make the Christmas tamales.  We made 18 dozen savory ones and 5 dozen sweet ones.  Yum, yum.  Can't wait to devour them at Christmas!

Very grateful to celebrate in CA this year and in the years to come!
