We had a WONDERFUL Easter in California this year. I am so glad we got that special for Southwest a month or so ago, so that the kids and I could fly out there for the weekend. With Peter in Portland and no family to celebrate with here in Phoenix, it was nice to be able to go home for a real family holiday. The kids got some quality time with their grandparents and cousins and I got my Cali fix. The weather was incredible! 70 degrees most of the weekend and no sweating at all!!! I always feel this heavy weight lift when I am in CA (and it always returns once we are back in AZ)--it truly is home, no matter where we live! I am so grateful for my family, my friends, and most of all, for my Savior, Christ Jesus. Rejoice! He is RISEN!

Sunday at my sister's house
We don't "do" the Easter bunny--all the kids know that its "the men" that hide the eggs. And we didn't even do any real eggs this year.....just plastic ones filled with candy and money! My Grandma and Mom went so overboard this year with spoiling the kids. We don't really let our kids eat sugar very often, so most of the candy stayed behind, but I did let them indulge a little (and I did too!). Now that we are back, its time to detox!
Here's a small clip of the hunt. My Grandma has the BEST backyard for hiding eggs!
