Sunday Fun Day

Wow, its been awhile since I've blogged. I guess not a lot has been happening. I am quite busy with school, and really enjoying it. Peter's schedule changed and he now has Saturdays and Sundays off for the first time in 6 and a half years! We are rejoicing with this. Its only for 4 months, but we'll take it. Because of this new set up, and with the encouragement of the "50 ways in 50 days" at our church, we dedicated today as a family fun day. We plan to do keep this up every Sunday while Peter has the day off. Today we:

We are going to try and keep up a weekly devotional with the kids and eventually work up to a daily devotional with them when they get older. We already pray together daily as a family at the beginning and end of every day and Peter and I feel that they are now old enough to really dig into the Word. We already read one Bible story to them every day, but until today we hadn't branched out to having it be a devotional where we discuss about how to apply it to life. Jeremiah is especially ready for this. He is back in his weekly Bible study (ROCK) at Central and has been reading his Bible on his own daily. He's expressed an interest in being baptized, so we're thinking of letting him do it around his 8th birthday because our family will be visiting that weekend anyway and we would LOVE for them to witness that. It fills our hearts with joy to see our son seeking to walk with the Lord. We pray for this for our children daily and its amazing to see God working in their hearts!

It was an all-around good day and looking forward to next Sunday and another fun day!!!
