Ezra update

The boy is still in the hospital and still on a ventilator. They have been trying to ween him off, but he does not seem well enough to breathe on his own. He has officially been diagnosed with pneumonia.  He will most likely be in the hospital for another week, because the scope they want to do on his bronchial track requires him to breathe on his own. As if this wasn't enough, Ezra had a repeat MRI and a CT scan, which seemed to confirm the hydrocephalus diagnosis. The neurologist at Banner Children's Hospital (who is not Ezra's regular one) believes that Ezra should have a shunt placed to drain the excess fluid. This, of course, requires major brain surgery. If the procedure is done, it is likely to be within the next month, but not during this hospital stay.

Please pray for our little man! He needs the Lord's protection and a miraculous healing at this time!
