Well, Mother's Day was just a day with business as usual. Lots of tube feedings for Ezra since he has almost entirely stopped using the bottle. Trying to keep Jeremiah and Alayna from killing each other. And trying to maintain my own sanity. Peter came home early from work and gave me my gift. It's a certificate for a pedicure! I have not had a professional one since the day before I got married--that's almost 7 years people! I am very excited about it!
Ezra is now nine months old, which I can hardly believe. Not just because he still looks like a two-month-old, but because I can't believe its been that long. And then other times, it feels like forever. Developmentally, he's hasn't changed much. No rolling over and no holding up the head when on his stomach. These were goals that had been in place at the beginning of therapy that he would achieve by 9-months. Oh well. He is smiling a lot more now. We think it's because he can see better. It's still hard to capture on camera, so no smile photo this week. As I said before, he is not using the bottle much lately. He went from drinking 3 oz per feeding to barely getting one ounce in. It scares me because now I think the doctors are going to push even more for a stomach tube. The doctor has him up to 4 oz per feeding now. Please pray that the little man would thrive with bottle feedings! He is doing ok with the spoon, but still has a hard time controlling his tongue.
He went for a check up today and gained several ounces, as you can see in the sidebar. But, his doc is concerned about his breathing and is ordering a chest x-ray. He has been on breathing treatments for a week and those will continue until after the results from the x-ray. He also has a kidney ultrasound on Friday as a follow-up to one he had in December. They are checking for calcium deposits, which he had a higher than normal amount of back then. He will also have a echo cardiogram on the 29th. And then next month he sees the neurologist, the GI, a nutritionist, and has a swallow study to see of he's still aspirating. Its busy around here. And we're still finding the time for a little family get away on Memorial weekend.
And its not just Ez that has stuff coming up. In the next month, I have a post pardum check-up and a consult to get my wisdom teeth out, which will probably be in July. And Alayna will be going to the dentist for the first time. We are busy Ferrantes out here in AZ.
I think that's it for now. Please keep the little one in your prayers; and us too! This next month is going to be exhausting!

Jeremiah looks a tad bit psychotic, don't you think? He gets that from you, ya know...
