Mr. Ezra is 5 months old now! He weighs in at 8 lbs, 7 oz! Some major new things: He’s cooing like a bird and he found his hands. He brings them to his mouth and plays with them in his lap too. This is a huge developmental step. He’s still working on tummy time and lifting his head. He had a visit to the eye specialist today and he says that Ezra’s corneas are pretty much cleared up. However, his pupils don’t dilate and he still has trouble focusing and tracking, so it may be another part of the eye, specifically the lens, that’s the problem. Or, it’s purely neurological, related to whatever syndrome he has. Either way, its been determined that surgery is not the way to go right now until the problem itself is found. There are still a slew of specialist follow-ups over the next 3-5 months, so we’ll keep you posted on his prognosis. The next big one is the neurologist on March 19th. Your continued prayer for him are very much appreciated! =)
