School's OUT!
I was in Portland on the kids' last day of school. Both kids received Principal's Honor Roll, with GPAs of 4.0 for the entire year. Pretty awesome. Jeremiah is off to 8th grade (and a year away from HIGH SCHOOL) and Alayna will be in 5th. Someone, please stop time. Thanks.

Summer Bucket List
I know several families who do this every year and decided this would be a good summer to start our own "bucket list". We each came up with five activities (see if you can guess whose activities are whose!) for a total of 20. Some are simple (making homemade popsicles) and some require some planning (camping), but all will be enjoyed (or so we hope!). I'll be blogging once a week (or that's the hope)--let's see how many we can cross off before August 17 (when I go back to school).
Beach day with cousins (maybe next year!)
Beach bonfire (and s'mores!) (could still happen in Sept or Oct)
Complete a 1000-piece puzzle together (we started one...)
Start a garden (::sigh::)

Piano Recital 2015
Alayna is becoming quite proficient as a pianist. She impresses pretty much everyone she plays for. Her recital was a couple weeks ago. Here are a few photos and a video.
In her element!

May Mayhem
Okay, y'all. I've got some freedom. I took a week to enjoy it, and now I'm finally updating you on recent family happenings.
May means Mother's Day. Mine was low-key. I slept in. The kids made me cards. I got some fun kitchen stuff. We went to the beach and then Peter made a scrumptious dinner. It was nice to be celebrated.
May brought us a performance from Jeremiah's school, in which he had a small, but big part. How's that? Well, he played the crush of the main character, Luann, so he was a big subject, but he only had a few scenes and only three lines. We all start somewhere right? No video, but here are a few photos from the show.
May also brought us the 4th Grade "Gold Rush" days at Open House. I missed this event, but Peter went and grabbed some photos. Alayna was very excited about this and had a very good time.
May also brought studying and finals for me. But, hey, I'm now officially halfway through Nursing School 2.0. WOOHOO!
Peter's childhood friend and his family came to visit us over Memorial Day weekend. Avila Beach, Pismo, the Strawberry Festival and game night. Good times!
Alayna participated in the GATE Olympics over the weekend. Her team didn't win, but they had a ton of fun.
And, finally, I went to Disneyland's 24-hour day. I made it for 20 hours and it took a few days to recover. I will definitely do this again (though, not next year because it will be held on the day I'm suppose to graduate from nursing school).

That was 50+ photos! Hope you enjoyed it. :)
